What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?
Learn about Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST), a gentle, hands-on healing modality offered by Oskana Biodynamics Craniosacral Therapy in Regina, SK. Discover how this approach can help you resource health and address chronic conditions.

A Gentle Touch for Inner Harmony
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a very gentle, hands-on therapy that helps the body relax and heal itself. You usually lie down fully clothed, and the practitioner lightly places their hands on areas like your head, back, or feet. They listen to the natural rhythms and movements inside your body -- kind of like tuning in to your body's "inner tide".

BCST sessions available on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10 am to 4pm by appointment only.

My Approach: Accessible and Comfortable
My approach may not be unique or very different from other therapist, but I have made my treatment room accessible. I only have two steps up and into my dwelling. My treatment room is on the main floor, along with my washroom, so there is no need to do extensive stair climbing.
What to Expect in Your First Session
Your first biodynamic craniosacral therapy session begins with a short conversation. We'll spend about 10-20 minutes talking about what brings you here, your health history, and anything you'd like me to know before we begin. You'll remain fully clothed and will be invited to lie comfortably on the treatment table.

Conditions That May Benefit From BCST
Because it works with the nervous system and the body's natural rhythms, BCST is often reported to help with:
- Stress and Anxiety Relief - calms the nervous system and supports deep relaxation.
- Trauma Recovery - helps the body gently release stored tension from past injuries or emotional experiences.
- Headaches & Migraines - eases tightness in the head, neck and spine.
- Chronic Pain & Tension - especially back, neck, or jaw pain (TMJ).
- Sleep Difficulties - promotes more restful, restorative sleep.
- Emotional Imbalance - supports people experiencing depression, grief, or overwhelm.
- Post-Surgery or Injury Healing - encourages the body to reorganize and recover.
- Nervous System Conditions - like burnout, fatigue, or feeling "stuck" in fight-or-flight mode.
Common Groups Who Benefit:
- Adults dealing with daily stress or chronic issues.
- Children and babies (for colic, birth trauma, or sleep issues).
- People recovering from concussions or whiplash.
- Highly sensitive people who prefer a gentle therapy instead of a forceful bodywork.
My Unique Approach in Regina, SK
While my approach to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy may not be drastically different from other practitioners, I prioritize creating an accessible and comfortable environment for my clients in Regina, SK. My treatment room is located on the main floor with minimal steps for easy access. I also acknowledge the presence of my pet cats in the home. While I take care to keep them out of the treatment room, I understand allergies can be a concern. I welcome an open conversation to ensure you feel safe and supported.
For those who love animals, the gentle awareness that cats are nearby can deepen the sense of comfort and safety during a session.
What Happens During a Session?
Your first session begins with a 10-20 minute conversation about your health history and what brings you in. You'll remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on the treatment table. I offer a blanket and dim the lights to create a calm atmosphere. I'll begin seated near your feet, grounding myself before making contact. With your permission, I'll gently place my hands on different areas of your body, listening to your system and supporting its natural ability to rebalance and heal. You're welcome to speak at any time, but many clients find benefit in stillness and quiet. The experience is gentle, deeply relaxing, and tailored to your needs.
